What is in my furnace vents?

Dust mites, dirt, pollen, dander, mold, and bacteria is just a short list of contaminants that can be found in your HVAC system.


How often should I have my furnace cleaned?

Your home HVAC systems needs to be cleaned every 3-4 years. As per NADCA standard, an HVAC system also requires inspection on an annual basis to ensure level of cleanliness and current operating condition.


Can I clean my dryer vents and furnace myself?

The answer is No. Nordic has the equipment to properly remove all contaminants from the point of entry the ductwork to where it exits.

How long does it take to clean a home system? What is the cleaning method?

Nordic requires around 2.5 hours to clean a home HVAC system. We put the system under negative pressure using a large vacuum. We then clean the system using compressed brushes and whips to dislodge contaminants.


Can I remove mold by myself?

No. You need a professional like Nordic Clean Air to properly contain the impacted area and remove the mold using the proper protective gear.


How do I know the air is clean after removing the mold?

An air test will be performed by a certified 3rd party company. Air samples are sent to a lab for final approval showing impacted space is safe again for occupation.
